District 4 Supervisor Fiona Ma celebrated her birthday last night at Butterfly on the Embarcadero (the hot spot both for political fundraisers and newspaper Christmas parties), talking up her 2006 District 12 Assembly bid with the likes of state schools chief Jack O'Connell, Congressman Mike Honda, former boss and former State Sen. John Burton, PUC general manager Susan Leal and arch political consultant Jack Davis. ... If anyone knows how much she raised, please post a comment. ...

What sucks about Fiona Ma is that she doesn't (and never did) take her job as supervisor seriously. It was just a four-year pit-stop to prove to the higher-ups that she will do their bidding and, thus, is worthy of getting promoted to higher office. Her District 4 constituents mean nothing to her.

  2. Actually, she did do something as a supervisor. Who can forget her brilliant legislation to officially recognize the South Vietnamese flag? Sad that SF has so many politician hacks out there who will look back at their "careers" and will not be able to point to one piece of legislation that improved society. Don't forget her famous quote too..."Whoops, my bad."
